ABOUT ME
Welcome! I’ll let you in on a bit about me here. My name is Shelly Faris, and despite my age, I've managed to hold onto my youthful spirit. Being an entrepreneur can be demanding, but I firmly believe in the power of positivity and keeping things in motion. Life's an adventure, and I'm determined to make the most of it by staying active, curious, and always ready for a good laugh.
Music holds a special place in my heart, and I truly believe in its power to make a difference in someone's life. Ever since I was able to talk, I have been singing my heart out. I still remember my debut performance of "Wasn't That A Party" by The Irish Rovers, which took place on a church pew during prayer time. Music has always been a constant presence in my life, thanks to my mom who would always have it playing loudly while driving, cooking, baking, and cleaning. Growing up, I was exposed to a diverse range of artists such as Patsy Cline, Lee Greenwood, Elvis, Joni Erickson, and Ray Boltz. These musicians have shaped my love for music and have shown me the impact it can have on people's emotions and experiences.
My purpose in life is to establish connections and spread love. I believe that by doing so, I can bring awareness to important issues through my own experiences and truths. I believe that everyone has been given unique talents by a higher power, and I strive to use my God-given talent for the betterment of the world. I made a transformation in my own life through my involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). AA not only helped me with my struggles with trauma and addiction, but it also introduced me to the concept of spirituality, allowing me to break free from the confines of structured religion. Initially, I struggled with self-doubt and relied on alcohol to muster the courage to showcase my talent. But once I discovered that I possessed the innate ability to sing and be my authentic self without the need for alcohol, it was as if a floodgate of possibilities opened up before me. With this newfound confidence, I became unstoppable, breaking free from any limitations that once held me back.
Back in 2002, I embarked on my musical journey as the lead singer of my very first band CrossFire. I had the incredible opportunity to showcase my vocal talents and connect with the audience through the power of music. The stage became my second home, and every performance was a chance to express myself and share my love for music with others.
